Anyone who knows me knows I absolutely love poetry, and I have a collection that spans most of my bookshelf, and it has always been tied to the poetry I create, so I wanted to share a few of my favourite poets.
T.S. Eliot (still trying to find the perfect version of his full body of work, and for whom i styled my pen name). Favourites include: The Lovesong of J. Alfred Proofrock, A Portrait of a Lady on Fire, The Hollow Men, and The Naming of Cats
Sarah Williams. Favourite: The Old Astronomer
Emily Dickinson. Favourites: Hope is The Thing With Feathers, and Because I could Not Stop for Death,
Robert Burns. Favourites: To a Mouse, and to A Mountain Daisy
Amanda Lovelace. Favourite book: The Princess Saves herself in This One
Trista Mateer. Favourite book: Honeybee
Najwa Zebian. Favourite book: The Nectar of Pain
Courtney Peppernell. Favourite book: Pillow Thoughts
Amanda Gorman.
T.S. Curtis. (Yes, me, I've worked too hard on my craft not to be in my favourites)
I'm sure there are others that I am missing, but these are certainly my tops. There are also a ton of incredible indy poets out there, whose books and zines on Amazon and Etsy are extra special, with some of the most beautiful poems.
